Peak Apparel is a family business, owned and operated by two brothers - Nick and Tyler Hand. As much as Peak Apparel is our vision, if we're being honest, it would not be possible without a great amount of help from our parents Joe and Collette. Growing up in Alaska, we realized there's an ingrained love and pride of being Alaskan that so many other people share! That's what initially sparked the idea of creating this business. There's just something about being from Alaska that others don't get, and we hope to harness that and create an outlet for them to express it through our unique apparel designs!

There's tremendous power in being genuine, authentic, and honest in today's world. It seems like everywhere you look, there's some corporate marketing scheming guru trying to convince you to buy this or sign up for that. However, sometimes you find a company that is truly passionate about what they do and what they sell. While they have to make money to pay the bills, their passion bleeds through their work and ethics as a business, showing that they care about something bigger than the payout at the end of the month.

Here at Peak Apparel, we are the latter of those two options.

The Vision

We want to create a brand that is focused on taking input from the active community, and making it a reality, whenever possible. You'll find that we are very active on social media, trying to involve YOU, the consumer, as much as we can. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on giveaways, new products, discounts, etc.

Our Story

Our family moved up to Alaska when we were 3 and 6 years old. Our dad was a pastor, and our mom was an interior designer, while also of course raising us kids. We spent our childhood adapting to, and embracing as much of the Alaskan lifestyle as we could, and it just became our "norm." The long dark winters, the -50 temperatures, the glorious Northern Lights, and random encounters with moose... it was just life in Alaska!

Fast-forward several years - We're now both married with families of our own, 8 kids between our two families. This is largely responsible for our desire to SHOW OFF the greatness and beauty of The Last Frontier! We hope that our designs and products here at Peak Apparel can always reflect that!

How It Works

It takes a lot of money to start a successful apparel company. To help ease the initial growing pains of that process, we decided to create relationships with some friends around the country who share our vision as far as the ability to really carry our designs and passion to our customers at a reasonable cost, without having to come up with an absurd amount of money up front to begin with initial inventory of products! We want to make it clear that we don't claim to have made ALL these products IN Alaska, however, we are based in Alaska, grew up in Alaska, and our heart is FOR Alaska and local Alaskan businesses! Both of our parents own local businesses in the Mat-Su Valley: Alaska's Harvest B&B and Harvest Motors Used Cars. Peak Apparel products are all made, embroidered, and designed in America, but don't be surprised if your package comes in separate shipments, and possibly from the lower 48! The majority of our products ARE in fact screenprinted and embroidered in Anchorage, and we ship out of Palmer to ensure a speedy delivery on any in-stock items!
